Relearn yourself

Someone asked me recently what I’ve been up to.

“Relearning myself.”

We learn something new every day. Whether consciously or unconsciously, accidentally or otherwise.

But we often fail to learn or to fully realize the process of Learning, Unlearning, and Relearning.

Unlearning is challenging because deconstructing and dismantling things that are embedded in our way of thinking, acting, and reacting is hard work.

Relearning, however, is starting new.

It’s seeing yourself, your life, people, and the world with new eyes. A fresh perspective.

It’s reconnecting to all the forgotten and neglected parts of your being.

Relearning is about coming home to yourself.

So Give yourself Grace and know that you are expanding.

That you are unfolding.

You are learning anew.

So…

Take time.

Be patient.

Because…

“You are relearning who you are on your own.

Breathe.

Even rediscoveries take patience and time.” ~L.E. Bowman
