Becoming

Who are you becoming?

What does that path look and feel like to you?

When I think about becoming I am reminded of a message that said:

It's easy to be with someone that makes you feel good in the places you already know you are good instead of the person that challenges you to grow… Until you know yourself and learn how to love yourself you will never pick someone that is worthy of who you are.

That message was and is specific to our connections and relationships, but I think it can be applied to all of life, and the decisions we make in it.

There are moments, people, opportunities, and phases of life that challenge us to change, and what we choose is indicative of our capacity for and willingness to grow.

It’s easy to go the familiar route and choose the path that makes us look and feel good, but growth applies pressure.

Growth requires us to go against our patterns and programming, and step into new ways.

New ways of thinking.

New ways of being.

Growth requires becoming.

Becoming more mindful and aware.

Becoming more intentional.

And becoming is continuous.

It’s the culmination of the choices we make every day.

It’s about challenging, finding, aligning, and defining ourselves.

So…

Who are you becoming?

And are you willing to make the change required to be the person you aspire to be?
