Hiding is Not Healing

Somebody said:

You can't hide and heal.

And… Whew, Chile.

Cause…

Who or what are you hiding from?

Yourself?

Other people?

How’s that working out for you?

What’s that looking like?

I mean, like for real.

Is that working?

Because you cannot Heal what you do not Reveal.

That is to say, what you hide you can't heal. But let's be clear...hiding is different from privacy. Privacy is absolutely Okay. In fact, I recommend it. Because you don't have to reveal everything to everyone.

That's not the invitation.

Because everybody that’s with you ain’t For you.

It's about being vulnerable, and in right relationship with yourself. It’s about showing up and being fully present, and working in the direction of feeling mentally and emotionally sound, clear, and resolved.

It’s about bringing yourself to the table and moving in awareness and love.

Because…

“Love makes your soul crawl out from its hiding place.” ~ Zora Neale Hurston

And the greatest testament to your healing is witnessing and experiencing yourself in the presence of others.

But…

Not everyone has to, will, or can come along for that ride, so being clear about who and where you are will give you clarity on who should be.

So step out of the shadows…

Step out of the shadow of your own history.

Out of the shadow of your own story; and into your light.

Into your glory.

Into the fullness of who you are.

Love
