Flower Garden
In a conversation with one of my mentor groups, I shared something with them that I want to share with you all.
Sometimes it’s not only important but necessary to show up and be present for people. To carry the weight. To hold and make space for their troubles, needs, and burdens.
To be the gardener.
To plant and water the seeds while tending to the weeds, but it’s equally important that we always remember and acknowledge that we are also the flower.
We stand in and hold both roles, and our gardens need to be tended to as well.
So, who’s showing up for you? Who’s tending to your garden?
And if nobody is, are you showing up for yourself?
If not, how can you do better at that?
What shifts and changes are necessary for that to happen?
Lean into that.
Sit with it.
Be a witness.
Observe, notice, and be open to what’s there… to what shows up for you.
Hold and make space for that.
Hold and make space for yourself.
