Water from the Well
Have you ever tried to draw water from a well?
Have you held on to connections and people that didn't fit?
Have you tried to get someone to see and understand you?
Have you longed for forgiveness or reconciliation?
Have you searched for healing in a person or experience, but found nothing to show?
Have you ever found yourself seeking love, comfort, compassion, and support from someone who cannot or will not provide it?
No matter how hard you try, the connection will never be made, and the wound will never be healed.
The well is empty.
That bucket will always come back dry.
And continuing to give will drain you, so it is important to recognize when it is time to stop. Because pouring into broken vessels, will leave you lost, depleted, frustrated, and with empty receptions.
So stop trying to get people to see you who can barely see themselves, and seek out connections and people who can provide you with the comfort, compassion, and support you deserve.
Don’t let them shame you for being dehydrated.
Don’t let them stop you from seeing yourself.
Seek out rivers of flowing water.
Seek out a warm hand and a gentle embrace.
Seek out listening ears and crying eyes.
Seek out truth and honesty.
And seek those things within yourself.
Seek out LOVE.
