My People

We live in a performative society.

A society that lacks self-awareness and self-trust so we constantly look outside ourselves for external validation, worth, and relevance.

But Water ALWAYS seeks its own level.

That is to say, we rest and settle at the level of our own comfort. Of our own perception and view of ourselves.

So where does that leave us?

Lost and unmoored.

I mean, we go through the motions and play the role, but it bothers me to see so many people toiling, tumbling, suffering, striving, and tripping over themselves to “be healed” to “be whole” all while resting in and perpetuating dysfunction and disconnection.

We get to decide, you know.

We get to choose how we show up and move through the world.

We get to choose and navigate the path of our own healing. Of our own journey.

But healing doesn't mean you never revert back. That you never mess up or fall off.

Unlearn that.

That’s performance talking.

Healing is recognizing where you are and choosing to show up as the you that feels most aligned with the person you aspire to be.

Healing is not allowing a past chapter to be the end of your story.

Healing is forgiving yourself for thinking what you've been offered is what you deserve.

Healing is holding yourself accountable, and it’s finding people that hold you accountable.

Because In these times you gotta have real friends. Not "just fun to be around" friends, but people that hold you to the fire. That holds you to the truth.

People that share and hold space for you.

People that are safe.

People that are present.

People that are For you.

People who are there.

People that support you.

A village.

Because It’s REAL out here!

And it is so important to have a solid support system.

So…

Find your people and love on them.

Allow them to love on you

Find your people and hold on to them.

Find your people.
