In Shadow
We are all made up of both shadows and light.
We contain multitudes.
But to truly hold our light we must own and walk alongside our shadow: learn what it is, how and where it originates, and how it impacts our daily lives.
Because it is only when we accept and honor the shadow within us that we can embrace and stand in our light.
One does not become enlightened simply by imagining figures of light, but by making peace with darkness.
Shadowwork is about exploring, embracing, and uncovering the parts of ourselves that we repress and hide. It is about increasing and deepening our capacity and awareness of and connection to our darkness. It’s about getting to know these parts of ourselves. Because only when we recognize and understand our darkness can we deal with the darkness of others.
So…
Stand strong.
Stand true.
Because…
“If we don't work with our shadow, all that is left is fake love and light, which just brushes the surface and has no deep resonance at all.”
