Glitch in the feed

I heard a message once that said:

"Your performing self is your disembodied self."

And today, the whole world is a stage.

We are pushed from so many angles and expected to perform or play a role to justify our place, position, and presence.

We compromise and dishonor ourselves to get by, or to fit in, but…

We don’t have to.

You don’t have to perform or play the role.

You get to choose who you are and how you show up in the world.

You get to choose.

And I hope that you do.

I hope you choose you.

I think about the roles we witness and consume, and that consume us and three Yoga philosophies come to mind.

Ahimsa ~ Non-harming

Satya ~ Truthfulness

Asteya ~ Non-stealing

All of these are external ethics of yoga, but they can be applied internally as well simply by asking yourself the question:

How am I showing up?

Is this harmful to myself, or to others?

Is this role benefiting me?

Am I showing up truthfully?

Am I stealing from myself here?

Am I stealing from others?

What are the effects of that?

We steal so much peace, truth, love, time, and joy from ourselves and others when we step outside of ourselves, and into roles and performance.

When we allow ourselves to become monoliths.

So instead, allow yourself to ebb and flow.

To shift and change.

To Be the glitch.

And show up in every place and space as your Full Best and Beautiful self, own your experience and presence, stand in your truth, and remember who you are.

Because that is who and what the world needs.
